Preserved investigates the staged realism of taxidermy in works that confront our relationship to animals and insects, as well as our mortality.  Both zoological document and faux wildlife imagery, the work oscillates between life and death, and seeks to question notions of veracity and fiction. Mortal investigates our relationship with skulls, skeletons and mortality.  It highlights our connectedness with the species with whom we share the planet, many of which are in decline due to anthropogenic (man-made) forces.
